Intergalactic Missions
for the Next Generation
Star Shooters
Creative Director / Writer
I was commissioned by The Department to design Star Shooters—a high-energy, sci-fi experience for MSC World America. Designed for kids and teens, Star Shooters combined story-led gameplay with immersive sound, light, and costume to create a one-hour, team-based arena experience unlike anything else at sea.
Looking to Design a World,
Not Just a Game?
If you’re developing live family entertainment, interactive missions, or experience-led activations, let’s build something unforgettable.
The Mission
Set in a future where intergalactic recruits train to defend the galaxy, Star Shooters invited young players into a competitive mission format built around speed, teamwork, and strategy.
Across four game types, including Holodeck Battle, participants worked together to overcome physical challenges, tactical puzzles, and opposing teams, all while being guided by a central AI through an in-world training protocol.
What I Delivered
A flexible system of four original, story-connected missions
A sci-fi narrative framework and custom-written AI voice
Immersive sound design and direction on costume/setting
Facilitation training to help onboard staff activate the world
The result was a flexible, future-facing arena game that combined the thrill of live action with the satisfaction of completing a story-based mission.
Why It Worked
Fully replayable, adaptable, and modular
Guests stepped into a story-led training arena and left feeling like they’d passed an interstellar mission, together.
Designed to engage kids and teens through tech, teamwork, and challenge
Gave facilitators a framework they could activate confidently and creatively
