NT Young Studio

In 2012 I developed Young Studio, the National Theatre’s home for creative young people to make theatre – writers, directors, designers, producers, film makers, graphic designers, lyricists, music producers, circus performers, animators, digital artists, dancers and more. Young Studio was not simply about talent, but about groups of young artists working together to bring creative ideas to life, through experimentation, ingenuity and risk-taking.

Young Studio was a creative playground for young people to question, evolve and push the notion of theatrical form and its place within contemporary culture and enable young artist’s imagination, ingenuity and energy to be transformed into exciting and brave theatre.
