laundry & bourbon

"Rob Watt directing Madison Theatre Company’s first performance has allowed for a subtle yet completely compelling and magical creation of American lives..." ayoungertheatre.com

Laundry And Bourbon centers around Elizabeth, wife of Roy. Her inner strength and her quiet understanding of the turmoil that has beset her husband since his return from Vietnam sets a calm standard for the manic, mother of three, Hattie, who joins her old high-school friend for day-time TV, bourbon and cokes and gossip on the front porch of her home on most sunny afternoons. Until this afternoon, when, Amy Lee, the town's do-gooder (and Hattie's social arch-enemy) arrives with news of Roy's latest infidelity which only strengthens Elizabeth's spousal loyalties even more - much to the annoyance of Amy Lee.

Laundry & Bourbon played at:

The Cellar Bar, Hammersmith, May 2010

Theatre 503, London, July 2010

Augustines Studios, Edinburgh Festival, August 2010
